The Legend is Included:A humble mother was busily cleaning her home for her Christmas Eve celebration. Even the tiny spiders had been banished from their cozy corner in the ceiling and fled into the farthest corner of the attic. But the reflections from the Christmas tree intrigued the spiders. On Christmas Eve, the spiders slowly crept down to see the beautiful Christmas tree. However, the spiders' eyes were so small they could not see all the ornaments at once. So, they scurried up the trunk and swept across every branch to see the wonder and glittering beauty that lay ahead. When the spiders were finished inspecting every branch and every ornament on the tree, it was shrouded in a dusty gray of spider webs. The Christkind arrived soon after the spiders left the tree. Knowing how disappointed the loving mother would be at the sight of her tree, he blessed the tree with a light touch, turning the gray webs into shimmering, sparkling silver and gold strands. Ever since then, it is customary to include a spider among the decorations because a tree with a spider is blessed.
