 Annual Bell Ornament Series Inge-Glas® Boxed Annual Ornament Set
Handcrafted in Germany by inge glass, each bell ornament is approx. 3¼" tall and includes a dangling clapper. This is a complete collection of all Inge-Glas® Annual Bell Ornaments that were released in the Annual Bell Series, representing the years 2001-2006 and is specially packaged in a commemorative wooden box to celebrate 410 years of glass blowing by the Müller-Blech family of Germany. (The bell series preceded the current annual reflector ornament series. This boxed version includes the entire series.)
| Includes the Legend:The Christmas Bell: As legend has it, the shepherds gathered in mass in Bethlehem as they journeyed to meet the newborn King. A little blind boy begged travelers to lead him to the newborn King but no one would take him. The little boy heard the faint ringing of a cow's bell and followed it, thinking that the cow might be in the stable where Christ laid. The cow, also journeying to the stable, led the boy to the infant. Bells have been used for centuries in America and Europe to help ring in the Christmas season. One German custom dictates that on Christmas Day no child may enter the room with the Christmas tree until the bells of Christmas ring. |
